We have multiple positions available at the levels of Postdoctoral Fellows, PhD students, and MPhil students at Lingnan University (Hong Kong SAR).

PhD Opportunities (admission in September 2026, January/September 2027)

• Funded by PI’s projects: One or more fully funded PhD scholarship available.
• Hong Kong PhD Fellowship: Applying for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme 2026.
• Self-funded PhD.

Expected Skills/Characteristics

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) for PhD candidates and BSc degree for MPhil candidates in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science or Statistics.
• Background in procedural content generation, reinforcement learning, car racing or autonomous driving would be a plus.
• Self-motivated, responsible, excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
• A minimum score of 79 (internet-based test) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or a band score of 6.5 or above in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS). <– Admission Requirement
• (For digital game related topics) Strong reading and writing skills in Chinese for better communication with local game industry.
